Mid Smoke from T Mid
Smoke off mid on Vertigo from T mid. Blocks the CT sightline through mid so your team can cross safely or push toward A or B.

Steps
- From T mid, walk toward the mid area and stop at the entrance where the T side corridor opens into the mid space. Position yourself against the right wall, pressing your right shoulder into the wall.
- Look straight ahead into mid. Find the center of the mid passage - the point where the corridor is at its narrowest between the two walls.
- Place your crosshair at the top of the far wall, right at the midpoint where the wall meets the ceiling or the overhang above. You want the smoke to land in the middle of the passage.
- Perform a standing left-click throw - no movement or jump needed. Hold left click and release.
- The smoke blooms in the center of mid, creating a wall of smoke that blocks CT vision through the mid corridor and prevents them from seeing any T movement from one side to the other.
Tips
- Mid on Vertigo is a critical sightline that CTs use to gather information and deny rotations. This smoke shuts down that sightline and gives your team freedom to rotate between A and B.
- Since this is a standing throw, it requires no jump throw bind. It is simple and consistent - a foundational utility for any Vertigo round.
- Throw this smoke early in the round when you want to keep your options open. With mid smoked, CTs cannot tell whether your team is going A or B based on mid movement.
- If the smoke lands too far to the right or left (not centered in the passage), adjust your positioning against the wall. The smoke should block the full width of the mid corridor.
- This smoke is great for fakes and rotations. Smoke mid, make noise toward A, then quietly rotate to B through the T side of the map while CTs think you are hitting A.

When to Use
Throw this smoke whenever your team needs mid control or wants to rotate freely:
- Mid denial - block the CT from watching mid so your team can move between A and B undetected
- Rotation cover - smoke mid while your team rotates from one bombsite approach to the other
- Fake setups - smoke mid and make noise toward one site, then hit the other while CTs rotate
- Default rounds where you want to keep your options open and deny CT information through mid
- Split executes where part of your team goes A and part goes B - the mid smoke prevents CTs from reading the split through mid movement
