B CT Molotov from B Stairs
Vertigo B CT molotov from B stairs. Flush out CTs holding the CT-side angle on B site before your team pushes in.
medium T-Side jump-throw left click b-sitectclear
Steps
- On B stairs, walk up toward the B site entrance and stop at the top of the staircase. Stand on the left side of the stairs with your left shoulder touching the wall for a consistent position.
- Look toward B site and identify the CT-side area at the back of the site where defenders commonly anchor. Find the upper edge of the wall that separates B site from the CT side - specifically the corner where the wall meets the ceiling.
- Place your crosshair on the top-right corner of the wall edge where it intersects with the ceiling. Aim at the junction point where the two surfaces meet above the CT-side position.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump is needed to clear the staircase railing and arc the molotov into the back of the site.
- The molotov arcs over and splashes down in the B CT area, spreading fire across the back of the site and forcing any CT playing there to push forward toward your team or rotate out entirely.
Tips
- The CT-side position on Vertigo B is a strong anchor spot because the CT can hold a long angle on anyone coming up the stairs. This molotov denies that position before your team is even visible on the site.
- This is a jump throw that requires a bind. The angle from stairs into the back of B site is steep, and manual jump timing will be inconsistent.
- If the molotov lands in the middle of B site instead of reaching the CT area at the back, your crosshair was too low. Aim higher on the wall to increase the arc distance.
- If the fire spreads outside the site toward CT spawn, your aim was too far right. Shift your crosshair left along the wall edge to keep the fire contained in the CT-side area.
- Pair this with an HE grenade into B CT immediately before the molly lands. If the CT tries to hold through the grenade damage, the fire forces them out. If they move early, your team catches them repositioning.

When to Use
This molotov flushes CTs from the most common anchor position on Vertigo B site. Throw it for:
- B site executes to clear the CT-side hold before your team pushes up the stairs and onto the site
- B rushes where speed is critical and you need the back of the site cleared before the first player reaches the top of the stairs
- Post-plant situations to re-molly the CT area and prevent defenders from retaking from that angle while your team holds the bomb
- Late-round pushes when the bomb is going B and you need to systematically clear positions with utility before committing
- Anti-AWP rounds when the CT is holding B CT with an AWP and peeking that angle with rifles would be suicidal
