B Retake Flash from CT Spawn
CS2 Vertigo B retake flash from CT Spawn. Blinds B site holders so your team can retake safely after a T plant on B.

Steps
- From CT Spawn, walk toward the B CT corridor and stop at the concrete partition on the right side. Stand with your right shoulder pressed into the partition wall, facing toward B site.
- Look up and to the left. Find the metal vent cover mounted on the upper portion of the corridor wall, near the ceiling.
- Place your crosshair on the center of the vent cover - right at the middle of the metal grating pattern.
- Perform a standing left-click throw - no jump or movement required. Simply aim at the vent center and release.
- The flash arcs over the partition and pops above B site, blinding any T holding post-plant positions near the default area, B Back, or the stairs entry. Your team has about 2 seconds to push onto the site while defenders are fully blinded.
Tips
- This is the go-to B retake flash on Vertigo. It is simple, fast, and blinds the majority of common post-plant positions on B site with a single throw.
- Turn away from the flash immediately after releasing. Face the partition wall, wait for the pop, then push onto the site with your team.
- If the flash pops too high (above the roofline, not blinding anyone on the site level), your crosshair was too high. Lower your aim on the vent cover.
- If the flash pops too low (hitting the partition instead of clearing over it), raise your crosshair above the center of the vent.

sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60to confirm the flash pops at the right height. - For maximum effectiveness, have a teammate throw a second flash from a different angle. Two flashes from different directions make it nearly impossible for Ts to dodge both.
When to Use
This flash is essential for B site retakes on Vertigo. Use it for:
- Full B retakes where your team is pushing from B CT and needs the site cleared of defenders before entering
- Coordinated retakes where the flash from CT complements a teammate pushing from mid or a different angle for a multi-pronged attack
- Post-plant defusals where you need to safely approach the bomb and clear the area around it before starting the defuse
- Eco round retakes where the flash closes the distance gap between your pistols and the Ts’ rifles
- Split retakes where this flash is thrown simultaneously with another from a different approach to fully blind the entire site
