B Short Smoke from Heaven

Steps

1. From Heaven, walk to the railing edge that overlooks B site. Position yourself at the left side of the railing, near where the railing meets the wall.
2. Look down and toward B Short - the corridor entrance on the far side of the site below you. You can see the doorway where Ts enter from Short.
3. Place your crosshair on the top edge of the B Short doorway frame, centered on the opening. The crosshair should sit right on the lintel where the door frame meets the wall above it.
4. Perform a standing left-click throw - hold and release with no movement. The downward angle from Heaven naturally gives the smoke the right trajectory.
5. The smoke drops down and blooms in the B Short entrance, blocking all T-side vision into the site from Short and forcing them to either push through the smoke blind or wait it out.

Tips

• Throwing from Heaven gives you the advantage of being safe from most T-side angles while you line up the smoke. You are elevated and partially hidden by the railing.
• If the smoke lands too far inside B Short (past the entrance), your crosshair was too low. Raise it to the top of the door frame so the smoke bounces off the frame and blooms in the doorway.
• This smoke pairs perfectly with the Monster smoke from B Site. Together they shut down both entry points and give your team an extra 15-18 seconds to gather information and rotate if needed.
• Practice offline with these commands: sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60
• After throwing, stay on Heaven and hold an angle on the smoke. If Ts push through, you have the elevation advantage and can pick them off as they emerge disoriented.
• On eco rounds, this smoke alone can stall a B Short rush long enough for your team to rotate and stack the site.

When to Use

This is a core CT defensive smoke for anyone anchoring B from Heaven. Throw it when:

• Early round defense to block the B Short entry and force Ts to reveal their intentions before they get free site access
• Stalling a B execute when you hear multiple Ts approaching from Short and need time for your teammates to rotate
• Solo B holds where you are the only player on B site and need to cut off one entrance while you focus on the other
• Retake scenarios when Ts have planted from Short and you want to block their post-plant positions while approaching from Heaven
• Eco rounds where a single smoke provides massive value by turning a fast rush into a slow, predictable push
