Bank Smoke from A Long

Smoke off bank on Overpass from A long. Blocks the CT holding the bank angle so your team can push onto A site through long.

medium T-Side jump-throw left click a-sitebankexecute

Steps

  1. From A long, push forward until you reach the midpoint of the long corridor. Position yourself against the left wall, pressing into the corner where the wall has a slight indentation or texture change.
  2. Look up toward the A site buildings. Find the top of the wall that borders the left side of A long, where it meets the roofline of the building above.
  3. Place your crosshair on the upper edge of the roofline, roughly at the junction where the wall transitions to the roof overhang. You want to be on the stone edge, not the sky above it.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key).
  5. The smoke arcs over the wall and drops onto the bank area, blocking the CT playing behind the bank position from seeing anyone pushing through A long onto the site.

Tips

  • Bank is one of the most common CT positions on A site because it provides excellent cover with a strong angle on the A long entrance. This smoke eliminates that sightline and forces the CT to reposition.
  • This lineup requires a jump throw bind for consistent placement. The smoke needs a precise arc to clear the long wall and land in the correct spot at bank.
  • Pair this with a truck smoke or party smoke to isolate A site further. Bank smoke alone covers one angle, but CTs may also hold from truck, party, or the short connector.
  • Throw this smoke just before your team pushes through A long onto the site. If you throw too early, it may start fading during the plant.
  • If the smoke lands too close to you (on the long side of the wall), your crosshair was too low. If it lands past bank toward CT spawn, you were aimed too high.

When to Use

Use this smoke when your team is taking A site through long:

  • A long executes - smoke bank, flash the site, and push through long as a team
  • Split A takes where one group pushes through long and another through short/toilets - the bank smoke covers the long entry group
  • Late-round A hits when you need a fast, clean site take through the long corridor
  • Default A pressure where your team pushes up A long for information - the smoke lets you hold an advanced position safely
