B Short Molotov from B Site

Steps

1. From B Site, stand behind the large pillar in the center of the site, using it as cover from Monster. Face toward the B Short entrance on the opposite side.
2. Look toward the B Short doorway. You can see the corridor entrance with the metal door frame and the hallway stretching back toward T side.
3. Place your crosshair on the floor of the B Short entrance, right at the base of the doorway where the corridor floor meets the site floor. Aim at the center of the threshold.
4. Perform a standing left-click throw - hold and release with no movement. The short distance means a simple toss is all you need.
5. The molotov bounces once and bursts into flames across the B Short entrance, covering the entire doorway with fire and making it impossible for Ts to push through without taking heavy damage.

Tips

• This molotov is the perfect follow-up after your B Short smoke fades. The moment you see the smoke thinning, throw this to continue denying the position without a gap.
• If the fire spreads too far into the site rather than covering the doorway, your crosshair was aimed too close to yourself. Push the aim point further into the Short corridor.
• The throw is quick and simple enough to use reactively. If you hear a flash pop in B Short, throw this immediately to punish any Ts trying to follow through the flash.
• Practice offline with these commands: sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60
• Since this is a standing throw from behind cover, you stay relatively safe during the lineup. The pillar shields you from Monster while you focus on Short.
• Be ready to fall back to Heaven after throwing. Smart Ts will wait for the fire to end and push immediately, so have your escape route planned.

When to Use

This molotov is a reliable tool for CT-side B defense. Throw it when:

• Stalling a B Short push when Ts are stacking up in the corridor and you need to buy time for your teammates to rotate
• Following up a fading smoke to extend your denial of the B Short entrance without leaving a gap in your defense
• Punishing a rush when you hear multiple Ts sprinting through B Short - the fire deals damage to all of them simultaneously
• Solo B holds where you need to reduce the angles you have to watch and force Ts into Monster only
• Retake situations when Ts have planted and you suspect one is holding the B Short doorway as a post-plant position
