Ramp Smoke from Control Room

CS2 Nuke ramp smoke from control room. Easy CT standing throw that blocks the ramp entrance to deny T-side B pushes.

easy CT-Side standing left click b-siterampdefensive

Steps

  1. From B site, move into the control room area (the room adjacent to B site with the windows overlooking ramp). Stand near the window opening that faces up toward the ramp corridor.
  2. Look through the window toward ramp. Find the top of the ramp corridor where the ceiling meets the far wall. There is a visible seam where the ceiling panels meet.
  3. Place your crosshair on the ceiling seam, centered in the upper portion of the ramp corridor. This sends the smoke on an upward arc that drops at the top of ramp near the T entrance.
  4. Throw with a standing left click through the window opening. The smoke travels up through the corridor and lands near the top of ramp.
  5. The smoke blocks the upper ramp entrance, preventing Ts from seeing down the ramp corridor from the lobby side. CTs can now move freely in the lower portion of ramp and on B site without being spotted.

Tips

  • Control room gives you a safe position to throw utility into ramp without exposing yourself to the T-side angle. The window provides cover while still allowing a clear throw.
  • Throw this at round start when you anticipate a B push through ramp. It completely shuts down the T sightline for 18 seconds.
  • If the smoke lands in the middle of ramp instead of the top, your aim was too low. Raise your crosshair higher on the ceiling to give the smoke more arc.
  • If the smoke hits the ceiling and bounces back toward you, your aim was too high. Lower it below the ceiling so the smoke travels through the corridor rather than bouncing off overhead.
  • After smoking ramp, rotate your attention to vents and secret. The Ts may change their approach when they see ramp is blocked.
  • Practice in an offline server with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to see exactly where the smoke blocks from the T perspective.

When to Use

This smoke is essential for CT ramp defense on Nuke. Deploy it when:

  • Default B holds where you need to deny ramp pushes while holding B site with minimal players
  • Solo B site holds when you are the only CT on B and need to smoke ramp before watching secret and vents
  • Post-plant retakes where you need to block ramp entry while your team defuses on B site
  • Buying time for rotations when your A players need extra seconds to reach B through the vents or secret
  • Anti-rush rounds where the Ts are known to fast push ramp - the smoke forces them to wait or push blind
