Ramp Smoke from Lobby

CS2 Nuke ramp smoke from lobby. Jump-throw lineup that blocks CT vision down ramp for safe T-side B site pushes.

Steps

  1. From lobby, walk toward the ramp entrance and stop at the doorway. Position yourself on the right side of the door, with your right shoulder touching the wall just before the corridor opens into the ramp area.
  2. Look through the doorway toward ramp. Find the overhead pipe that runs across the ceiling of the ramp corridor. There is a junction box where two pipes meet on the ceiling.
  3. Place your crosshair on the bottom edge of the pipe junction box, centered on the point where the two pipes connect. This aim point sends the smoke deep enough into ramp to block the CT angle.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump is needed to give the smoke enough velocity to reach the critical blocking point inside ramp.
  5. The smoke travels down the corridor and lands at the bottom section of ramp, blocking CT vision from control room and the ramp exit toward B site. Ts can now push ramp without being seen from below.

Tips

  • Ramp is one of the two primary routes to B site on Nuke (alongside vents/secret). Smoking the bottom of ramp cuts off the CT’s most important defensive angle.
  • Throw this at round start if you plan a fast B execute. The smoke lands before CTs can set up a deep ramp hold.
  • If the smoke lands too shallow (in the upper part of ramp), your crosshair was too low on the pipe. Aim higher to send the smoke deeper into the corridor.
  • If the smoke goes too deep and lands past the ramp exit (inside B site), your aim was too high. Lower your crosshair to the bottom of the junction box.
  • Pair this smoke with a ramp molotov to clear any CT playing close in ramp, then push through the smoke as a team for the B site entry.
  • Practice in an offline server with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to verify the smoke blocks the full ramp width.

When to Use

This smoke is critical for T-side B site pushes through ramp on Nuke. Use it when:

  • B site executes where your team is pushing ramp and needs the bottom angle blocked before committing
  • Split B attacks where ramp players smoke and push while outside players enter through secret simultaneously
  • Default rounds where you want to smoke ramp for information or to force the CT to play close
  • Late round B hits when you need to quickly block ramp vision and rush before CTs can rotate from A
  • Anti-AWP setups when the CT has an AWPer holding deep ramp - the smoke neutralizes that angle completely
