Outside Smoke from T Spawn
Block the outside sightline on Nuke from T Spawn. This essential smoke wall lets your team push outside safely without getting picked by the CT AWP.
easy T-Side standing left click outsideessential
Steps
- From T Spawn, run toward the outside area and stop at the exit where the spawn corridor opens up to the outdoor section. Position yourself on the right side of the doorway, pressing your right shoulder into the doorframe.
- Look straight ahead across the outside yard. Find the red shipping container visible in the distance on the far side of outside. There is a gap between the container and the building to its right.
- Place your crosshair on the top-left corner of the red container - right where the top edge meets the left edge. You should be on the metal, not the sky.
- Perform a standing left-click throw - no jump or movement needed. Hold left click and release.
- The smoke travels across outside and blooms in the middle of the outside area, creating a long smoke wall that blocks CT vision from the far side (near heaven/mini) into the T approach.
Tips
- This is the most important smoke on Nuke’s outside area. Without it, the CT AWPer has a devastating sightline from heaven, mini, or the far side of outside that covers the entire T approach path.
- The outside smoke wall is Nuke’s equivalent of the Xbox smoke on Dust 2 or the window smoke on Mirage - you throw it every single round where your team wants outside control.
- Since this is a standing throw, no jump throw bind is needed. It is one of the easiest smokes on Nuke and should be the first one you learn.
- If the smoke lands too far to the right (closer to secret), your crosshair was off to the right of the container. If it falls short, you were aimed too low.
- Throw this smoke immediately at round start. Outside is the most contested area on Nuke and CTs will set up their AWP within seconds. The earlier your smoke is in place, the safer your team is.
- Practice commands:

When to Use
Throw this smoke at the start of every round where your team plays outside:
- Outside control - the smoke wall lets your team push into the outside yard and claim map control safely
- Secret pushes where your team goes through outside to reach the secret entrance into B site
- Outside-to-A executes through mini or silo, where you need outside control before rotating into the A site
- Default rounds where you want a player outside for information without getting picked by the AWP
- Faking outside - even if you plan to hit ramp, smoking outside forces CTs to respect the possibility of an outside push
