Heaven Smoke from Hut

Smoke off heaven on Nuke from hut to block the catwalk angle during A site takes. Removes the strongest CT position so your team can push onto the site.

medium T-Side jump-throw left click a-siteheavenexecute

Steps

  1. Enter hut from the outside area and move inside. Position yourself at the back-left corner of hut, pressing into the corner where the two walls meet. You should be facing toward the hut exit that leads onto A site.
  2. Look up through the hut roof opening toward the ceiling of the main hall. Find the metal railing of the heaven catwalk visible above and to the right. Heaven is the elevated walkway that runs along the upper wall of the A site.
  3. Place your crosshair on the underside of the catwalk railing, roughly at the point where the metal railing meets the first vertical support beam. You want to be aimed at the junction of the beam and the railing.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key).
  5. The smoke pops up through the hut opening and lands on the heaven catwalk, blocking any CT holding the elevated position from seeing players entering A site from hut, squeaky, or ramp.

Tips

  • Heaven is the single strongest CT position on Nuke’s A site. The elevated angle lets the CT see everything below while being extremely hard to trade. This smoke is the only reliable way to neutralize it during an execute.
  • This lineup must be thrown from inside hut, which means your team needs outside control first. Make sure the outside smoke wall is up and your team has cleared hut before you set up this throw.
  • The timing is critical - throw this smoke right before your team pushes onto A site. If you throw it too early, the smoke fades mid-execute and the heaven player gets free kills.
  • If the smoke lands on the A site floor instead of on the catwalk, your crosshair was too low. If it hits the ceiling or back wall, you were too high.
  • Pair this with a vent room smoke or ramp smoke depending on where your team is entering from. Heaven smoke alone does not cover all angles on A site.
  • Practice commands: sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60

When to Use

Use this smoke when your team is executing onto A site:

  • Full A executes - smoke heaven, flash onto the site through hut and squeaky, plant in the open while the heaven player is blind
  • Hut pushes where your team enters A site from outside through hut - the heaven player is the biggest threat to this entry path
  • Split A takes where players come from both ramp and hut - heaven smoke covers both entry points since the catwalk overlooks the entire site
  • Post-plant scenarios where you need to re-smoke heaven to deny the CT retake from the elevated position
