Ramp Molotov from Lobby

CS2 Nuke ramp molotov from lobby. T-side jump-throw that clears CT positions inside ramp before pushing toward B site.

Steps

  1. From lobby, approach the ramp entrance and stop at the doorway. Position yourself on the left side of the door, with your left shoulder touching the wall frame.
  2. Look through the doorway and down the ramp corridor. Find the wall corner where the ramp begins to slope downward. There is a visible edge where the flat lobby floor transitions into the angled ramp.
  3. Place your crosshair on the right side of the ramp wall, about halfway down the visible section of the corridor. Aim at the point where the wall meets the floor on the right side of the ramp slope.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump launches the molotov deeper into the ramp corridor than a standing throw would reach.
  5. The molotov bounces once and splashes across the ramp floor, spreading fire across the corridor and forcing any CT holding an angle inside ramp to fall back toward control room or B site.

Tips

  • CTs love to hold aggressive positions inside ramp with an AWP or rifle. This molotov forces them off those angles before your team commits to the push.
  • Throw this immediately before your team pushes through the ramp smoke. The smoke blocks vision while the fire clears any close-range position behind the smoke.
  • If the molotov hits the ceiling and falls at your feet, your crosshair was too high. Lower your aim to the wall-floor junction to keep the trajectory below the ceiling.
  • If the molotov does not reach deep enough into ramp (fire is too close to the entrance), you were not using the jump throw bind. The jump is essential for the extra distance.
  • Call “ramp mollied” to your team so they know the close angle is clear and can push through the smoke confidently.
  • Practice in an offline server with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to see how far the fire spreads inside ramp.

When to Use

This molotov is a key part of T-side B executes through ramp on Nuke. Use it when:

  • B execute preparation to clear CT positions inside ramp before your team pushes through the ramp smoke
  • Anti-AWP plays when you know a CT is holding deep inside ramp with an AWP - the fire forces them to give up the angle
  • Combined utility thrown alongside the ramp smoke for a smoke-molly combo that blocks vision and burns the close position simultaneously
  • Forcing CT rotations by mollying ramp to make the CT rotate away from B, then using the information to decide whether to push or fake
  • Late round B hits where you need to quickly clear and push ramp without time to carefully clear every angle
