Secret HE Grenade from B Site

Steps

1. From B site, move toward the secret entrance and stop about four steps back from the doorway. Position yourself slightly to the right of center, using the nearby column or barrel for partial cover.
2. Look at the secret doorway ahead. Find the floor area just inside the entrance where the secret corridor transitions into B site. Focus on the ground level at the doorway threshold.
3. Place your crosshair on the center of the doorway at roughly knee height. Aiming slightly above the floor sends the HE through the entrance and into the corridor just inside.
4. Throw with a standing left click - no jump or movement needed. The short distance to the secret entrance means a standard throw has enough power.
5. The HE grenade bounces into the secret entrance and detonates inside the corridor, dealing 45-70 damage to any Ts pushing through the narrow passage. The tight walls concentrate the blast.

Tips

• Secret is a narrow corridor, which means HE grenades are extremely effective here. The confined space prevents Ts from dodging the splash damage.
• Throw this on audio cue. The secret passage has distinctive metal floor sounds - when you hear footsteps on that surface, the Ts are close enough for the HE to catch them.
• If the HE bounces off the doorframe and detonates on B site near you, your aim was slightly off center. Make sure your crosshair is aimed through the open doorway, not at the frame.
• If the HE travels too deep into the corridor (past where Ts would be stacking), your aim was too high. Lower the crosshair to keep the grenade closer to the entrance.
• Combine this with the secret molotov for a utility stack: throw the HE first for immediate damage, then follow with the molly to deny entry for 7 more seconds.
• Practice in an offline server with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to test the bounce behavior inside the secret corridor.

When to Use

This HE grenade is a reliable tool for defending B site from secret pushes on Nuke. Use it when:

• Secret defense to deal damage to Ts pushing through the corridor before they reach B site
• Early round information thrown at the start to check if Ts are rushing secret - a damage indicator confirms their presence
• Utility stacking combined with the secret molotov for sustained denial of the secret entrance
• Anti-rush defense when you hear multiple footsteps in secret and need immediate damage to weaken the push
• Buying time for help by dealing damage and forcing Ts to slow down while your A teammates rotate to B
