B Retake Flash from Ramp

Steps

1. From the bottom of ramp, move to the ramp exit that opens toward B site. Stand against the left wall of the corridor, one step back from the opening so you are still in cover.
2. Look toward the B site entrance. Above the doorway, find the overhead pipe that runs along the ceiling near the transition from ramp to B site.
3. Place your crosshair on the bottom edge of the overhead pipe, roughly centered above the ramp exit doorway. This bounces the flash off the pipe and into B site.
4. Throw with a standing left click from your stationary position. The flash bounces off the pipe and pops in the air above B site.
5. The flash detonates above B site, blinding any Ts positioned near the toxic barrels, on the plant spot, or watching the ramp entrance. The angle is high enough that most players cannot avoid it.

Tips

• Ramp is the fastest CT rotation route to B site, making this flash essential for quick retakes. You can reach the flash position from A site in about 8 seconds.
• The flash pops from an overhead angle, which is extremely difficult for Ts to dodge. Even if they hear the flash bouncing, the pop comes from above their eyeline.
• If the flash pops inside the ramp corridor (before reaching B site), your aim was too high on the pipe and the flash bounced backward. Aim at the bottom edge of the pipe, not the top.
• If the flash pops too deep inside B (near secret or vents), your aim was too far forward. Pull the crosshair back to center it above the ramp exit.
• Pair this flash with a teammate pushing from secret or vents for a multi-directional retake. The flash covers the entire central B site area.
• Practice in an offline server with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to time your peek with the flash pop.

When to Use

This flash is your primary B retake tool when approaching from the ramp side. Use it when:

• B site retakes where your team is pushing through ramp and needs Ts on site blinded before peeking into the open area
• Post-plant retakes where the bomb is planted on B and you need to fight through to the defuse position
• Fast rotations where you are coming from A through ramp and need an immediate flash before engaging
• Coordinated retakes with players also pushing from secret or vents - the flash covers all common T post-plant positions
• Eco retakes where the flash gives your pistols a chance against T rifles by blinding them during your initial peek
