A Retake Flash from CT Red
CS2 Nuke A retake flash from CT Red. Standing flash that blinds A site attackers from a safe position during CT retakes.
easy CT-Side standing left click a-siteretake
Steps
- From CT Red (the red container area near CT spawn on A site), position yourself behind the right edge of the red container with your back against the wall. This gives you cover from any T peeking from site.
- Look up above the container. Find the ceiling beam that runs overhead. There is a horizontal metal beam with visible rivets running perpendicular to the container.
- Place your crosshair on the right side of the ceiling beam, roughly where the beam meets the wall structure above. This angle bounces the flash off the ceiling and into A site from above.
- Throw with a standing left click - no movement needed. The flash bounces off the ceiling structure and pops in the air above A site.
- The flash detonates above A site, blinding any Ts positioned on the bomb plant area, near hut, squeaky, or watching toward CT spawn. The overhead angle makes it nearly impossible to dodge.
Tips
- CT Red is one of the safest retake positions because you have hard cover from the container. Flashing from here before peeking gives your team a massive advantage.
- The flash pops from above the site, which means Ts have to look straight down to avoid it - and looking down means they cannot shoot your teammates pushing in.
- If the flash pops too early (before reaching the site), you hit the ceiling directly above you. Aim your crosshair more forward along the beam to bounce the flash further out.
- If the flash goes too far and pops behind site, your aim was too far forward. Pull the crosshair back closer to the beam section above the container.
- Call “flashing A” so your teammates can time their peek. They should push from heaven, main, or CT spawn the instant the flash pops.
- Practice in an offline server with

When to Use
This flash is your primary retake tool for A site on Nuke. Deploy it when:
- A site retakes where your team is pushing from CT spawn and heaven and needs Ts on site blinded before the engagement
- Post-plant retakes where the bomb is down on A and you need every advantage to fight through to the defuse
- Coordinated pushes where 2-3 CTs approach from different angles and the flash covers all of their peeks simultaneously
- Solo retake attempts where you flash from CT Red and immediately swing wide from the container to catch blinded Ts
- Economic rounds where a well-timed flash compensates for inferior weapons during the retake
