Window Smoke from T Spawn
Land a pixel-perfect Mirage window smoke from T Spawn every round. Blocks the AWP in Sniper's Nest so your team can take mid control safely.

Steps
- From T Spawn, walk to the left side and stand next to the wooden cart that sits against the wall. Your left shoulder should be touching the cart.
- Look up toward the rooftops ahead. Find the small antenna tip that sticks up from the building directly in front of you.
- Place your crosshair on the bottom edge of the antenna tip - right where the antenna meets the roofline.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). Do not try to manually time this - a bind is essential for consistency.
- The smoke arcs over the buildings and lands perfectly inside Window (Sniper’s Nest), completely blocking AWP vision into mid.
Tips
- This is widely considered the single most important smoke on Mirage. If you only learn one lineup on this map, make it this one.
- The smoke takes roughly 2.5 seconds to travel and bloom, so throw it as soon as the round starts if you want early mid presence.
- Works consistently in CS2’s sub-tick system - no tick-rate variance to worry about.
- Always pair this with the connector smoke for full mid isolation. Window smoke alone still leaves you exposed to a connector peek.
- If the smoke lands too far left (on the wall instead of inside the window), you are standing too far right. Adjust back toward the cart.
When to Use
Throw this smoke at the beginning of virtually every T-side round where your team wants mid presence. It is essential for:
- Mid-to-A splits through connector or short
- Mid-to-B splits pushing through short and into B site
- Default rounds where you want a lurker holding mid or gathering information
- Fast A executes where a mid smoke buys time before CTs can rotate through connector
