Stairs Smoke from T Spawn
Mirage CT stairs smoke from T Spawn. Cuts off ticket booth rotations during A executes so your team can take the site safely.

Steps
- In T Spawn, stand against the left wall, roughly one step to the left of the jungle smoke position. Your back should be flush against the wall.
- Look up toward the building ahead and find the roof molding - the decorative ledge that runs along the edge of the rooftop.
- Locate the small decorative element on the wall beneath the molding (a protruding brick or trim detail). Place your crosshair on its left edge, right where it meets the flat wall surface.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key).
- The smoke arcs over and lands on CT stairs (ticket booth), blocking any CT holding that position from seeing into A site.
Tips
- This smoke works best when combined with the jungle smoke. Together, they create a wall of smoke between A site and the two main CT positions (jungle and stairs/ticket).
- The stairs smoke blocks CTs from rotating through CT spawn into A site via the stairs. Any CT who pushes through the smoke is blind and an easy target.
- If the smoke lands too far to the left (toward CT spawn), shift your crosshair slightly to the right. If it lands on the A site side of stairs, aim a bit higher.
- In a coordinated team, have one player throw jungle and another throw stairs at the same time. A third player can throw the CT smoke from palace for full isolation.
- This is a medium difficulty lineup because the reference points are subtle. Spend extra time in offline practice to find the exact decorative element.
When to Use
The stairs smoke is a core part of any A site execute on Mirage. Use it for:
- Full A executes alongside jungle and CT smokes to completely isolate the bombsite
- A splits where your team enters from both ramp and palace - the stairs smoke prevents the ticket player from getting crossfires
- Late-round takes where smoking stairs forces the CT to either push through the smoke or give up the position entirely
- Fake A setups to sell the idea of an A hit with utility before rotating to B
