Connector Smoke from T Spawn

Reliable Mirage connector smoke from T Spawn. Blocks jungle and connector vision into mid for safe T-side pushes and mid control.

medium T-Side jump-throw left click midconnectorexecute

Steps

  1. From T Spawn, walk to the right side of the wooden cart - the same cart used for the window smoke, but position yourself slightly to the right of it. Stand against the edge of the wall so your right shoulder touches it.
  2. Look up at the rooftops ahead. Find the corner where two roof edges meet - this is the junction of the sloped roof and the flat roofline on the building above mid.
  3. Place your crosshair just to the right of that corner junction, roughly one crosshair-width away from the edge.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then activate your jump throw key).
  5. The smoke travels over the buildings and lands at the top of the connector stairs, creating a wall of smoke that blocks vision from jungle and connector into mid.

Tips

  • This smoke should be thrown at the same time as the window smoke. Have one teammate throw window and another throw connector - the two smokes together completely seal off mid from CT interference.
  • This lineup is noticeably harder than the window smoke. The margin for error is smaller, so invest time practicing it offline before using it in a match.
  • If the smoke lands too deep (inside connector toward A site), your crosshair was too high. If it lands too shallow (on the mid side of the stairs), you were aimed too low.
  • Practice commands: sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60
  • In solo queue, prioritize the window smoke if you can only throw one. The connector smoke matters most in coordinated team play.

When to Use

Use this smoke whenever your team is contesting mid control. It is the second half of the mid-smoke duo and is critical for:

  • Full mid takes where your team pushes through mid into short or connector
  • Mid-to-B splits so CTs rotating through connector cannot spot your short push
  • Mid-to-A splits where you need the connector player blind while your team wraps through jungle
  • Preventing early aggression from CTs who like to push through connector for information
