A Site Retake Flash from CT Spawn
Retake flash for A site on Mirage from CT spawn. Blinds any T holding post-plant positions on the A bombsite from a safe angle.
easy CT-Side standing left click a-siteretake
Steps
- From CT spawn, move toward the A site entrance near the stairs area. Position yourself at the left side of the CT-to-A corridor, pressing against the wall before you are visible to anyone on the A site.
- Look up toward the A site. Find the top of the wall that separates the CT corridor from the open A site area. There is a visible edge where the wall meets the sky.
- Place your crosshair at the top edge of the wall, roughly at the midpoint. You want the flash to arc over the wall and pop above the A site default plant area.
- Perform a standing left-click throw (overhand). Hold left click and release.
- The flashbang arcs over the wall and pops above A site, blinding any T holding a post-plant position at default, behind triple box, near the ramp entrance, or in the open on the site.
Tips
- This is the essential CT retake flash for A site on Mirage. It is safe (you are behind a wall), simple (standing throw), and effective (covers the entire planting area).
- The flash pops above the A site, making it very difficult for Ts to avoid. They would have to look straight down at the ground to dodge it, which means they cannot hold their post-plant angle.
- Throw this flash right before your team peeks onto the site. Coordinate with teammates so everyone pushes together the moment the flash pops - from CT, stairs, jungle, or connector.
- Since you are behind a wall while throwing, you are completely safe from anyone on the A site. This is a major advantage over throwing a flash in the open.
- If you have two flashbangs, throw them with a 1-2 second delay. The first forces Ts to turn, and the second catches them looking back. This gives your team a much longer window to peek.
- This flash does not cover jungle or palace. If a T is playing from one of those spots, they may not be fully blinded. Have a teammate clear those angles separately.
When to Use
Use this flash whenever your team is retaking A site:
- Standard A retakes - flash the site from CT, then peek together with teammates from multiple angles (CT, stairs, connector)
- Solo retakes where you are the last CT and need to blind the bomb-holder before peeking
- Time-pressure retakes where the bomb is close to exploding and you need an immediate flash-and-push
- Coordinated retakes - pair your CT flash with a teammate peeking from jungle or connector for a crossfire while the T is blind
