Arch Side Smoke from Second Mid
Block arch side on Inferno from second mid. Prevents CT rotations through arch during A executes so your team can take the site safely.

Steps
- From second mid, move to the left side of the passage near the archway toward A short. Find the stone pillar on the left wall and press your left shoulder against it.
- Look up toward the rooftops on the right side. Find the edge of the roofline where the building above arch meets the sky. There is a visible corner where two roof angles intersect.
- Place your crosshair on the lower-right corner of the roof intersection - right at the point where the two roof edges converge. You want to be on the very tip of that corner.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key).
- The smoke travels over the buildings and lands in arch side, blocking the passageway that connects CT spawn to A site. CTs cannot push through arch or see onto the site from that angle.
Tips
- Arch is the primary rotation path from CT spawn to A site. Smoking it off buys your team 18 seconds where CTs must either wait, push through the smoke blind, or take the long rotation through library and apartments.
- This smoke is the other half of the A execute duo. Always pair it with the library smoke - arch blocks rotations while library blocks the site anchor. Together, they isolate A site completely.
- The timing of this throw is crucial. Throw it immediately before executing so the smoke is fresh when your team enters the site. If you throw too early, the smoke will start fading during the plant.
- If the smoke lands too far toward CT spawn (deep inside the arch passage), your crosshair was too far right. If it lands too close to the site, you were aimed too far left.
- Make sure top mid is already smoked before lining this up in second mid. Without the top mid smoke, a CT can peek and kill you while you are looking at the sky.

When to Use
Throw this smoke whenever your team is executing onto A site:
- Full A executes from mid - pair with the library smoke, then push short onto site with flash support
- Late-round A hits where CTs will try to rotate quickly through arch from B/CT spawn
- Post-plant denial - if your team gets the plant down, the arch smoke prevents the fastest retake path
- Split A executes where players go through both apartments and short - the arch smoke ensures CTs cannot add a third angle to defend
