New Box Molotov from Banana

Steps

1. In banana, push forward past the car and stop where you have a clear line of sight into B site. Stand on the right side of banana with your right shoulder near the wall.
2. Look toward B site and identify new box - the tall box on the right side of the site where CTs commonly play a close angle. Find the top edge of the box where it meets the wall behind it.
3. Place your crosshair on the upper-right corner of new box, right where the box edge meets the wall surface. Aim at the very top of the visible box face.
4. Left click to throw the molotov with a standing throw. No jump needed - the distance is short enough for a direct throw.
5. The molotov hits the wall behind new box and splashes down across the entire new box position, setting the area on fire and forcing the CT to abandon their cover or burn.

Tips

• New box is one of the most common CT positions on Inferno B site. A player crouched behind it can hold an angle on the entire banana entrance. This molotov removes that threat before your team even peeks.
• This is a standing throw and the distance is short, making it one of the easiest utility lineups on Inferno. You should land it consistently on your first try.
• If the fire spreads too far toward the left side of the site instead of covering new box, your aim was too far left. Shift your crosshair back to the right where the box meets the wall.
• If the molotov bounces off the top of the box and does not spread behind it, you aimed too low. Raise your crosshair to the upper portion of the box face near the wall.
• Throw this molotov right before your team pushes out of banana. Pair it with the spools/dark smoke to block one angle while flushing the other with fire.

When to Use

This molotov is a staple for any B site take on Inferno. Throw it to flush the new box player in these situations:

• Full B executes to clear new box before your team pushes out of banana and onto the site
• B rushes where quick utility needs to clear the most dangerous close-range position instantly
• Force-buy rounds when losing players to the new box CT would be devastating for your economy
• Post-plant holds to re-molly new box and prevent a CT from using it as cover during the retake
• Split executes where your banana team needs to safely push out while the mid team comes through construction
