Steps
- From the arch side of A site, walk into the archway corridor and stop at the point where the arch opens toward the apartments exit. Stand against the right wall of the arch, tucked into the corner.
- Look up through the archway opening. Find the top edge of the arch where the stone curve reaches its highest point. Just above it, you can see a section of roof and sky.
- Place your crosshair on the left edge of the stone arch, roughly at the two o’clock position on the curve - where the arch begins to flatten toward horizontal at the top.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump arc is necessary to get the molotov over the arch and into the apartments hallway.
- The molotov sails through the air and splashes inside apartments, spreading fire across the corridor floor and forcing any Ts in the hallway to either fall back or take significant damage.
Tips
- This molotov is one of the most effective CT utilities on Inferno A site. It stops apartments rushes cold and buys time for your teammates to rotate if needed.
- Throw this on audio cues - if you hear multiple footsteps or utility bouncing in apartments, the Ts are likely stacking up for a push. That is the perfect moment to fire the molly.
- If the molotov splashes on the arch wall instead of going through, your crosshair was too low. Aim higher on the arch curve to clear the stone edge.
- If the fire lands too deep inside apartments (near the boiler room area), your aim was too far left. Shift your crosshair slightly right along the arch curve.
- After throwing this molly, immediately reposition. The Ts know your position and may prefire arch or throw a flash through the smoke.

When to Use
This molotov is your primary tool for denying apartments pushes from the arch position. Deploy it when:
- Defending A site from arch and you hear Ts gathering in apartments for an execute
- Delaying rushes by forcing Ts to wait for the fire to die before they can push through the corridor
- Buying rotation time when your B teammates need extra seconds to get to A site
- Anti-eco rounds where Ts might rush through apartments with pistols - the molly punishes tight groupings for heavy damage
- Retake situations where you push through arch and need to clear apartments before peeking the site
