B Doors Smoke from Upper Tunnels

Steps
- In upper tunnels, walk toward the exit but stop before you step out onto B site. Stay inside the tunnel.
- Position yourself against the left wall of the tunnel, pressing your left shoulder into it.
- Look up through the tunnel exit toward the sky. Find the edge of the building visible through the opening - this is the roofline of the structure above B doors/window.
- Place your crosshair on the rooftop edge where the building meets the sky. Aim at the right side of the visible roofline.
- Left click to throw the smoke. This is a standing throw - no jump needed.
- The smoke lands at B doors, blocking the window that CTs commonly hold with an AWP or rifle. The window player can no longer see anyone exiting upper tunnels.
Tips
- This is the most important smoke for any B site take on Dust 2. Without it, the B doors/window player has a clean line of sight on anyone pushing out of tunnels.
- Because it is a standing throw, this smoke is extremely easy to land consistently. There is no jump throw timing to worry about.
- Throw this smoke every single round you go B. It should be automatic - like buying armor.
- The smoke blocks the B doors window angle specifically. CTs behind the door frame or playing close B site are not affected, so still clear those angles after throwing.
- If the smoke is not covering the window properly, you are likely too far forward. Make sure you are throwing from inside the tunnel, not from the exit.
- You are exposed for a brief moment while throwing this smoke from the tunnel exit. Have a teammate ready to trade if a CT is playing aggressive close B.
When to Use
Throw this on any round where your team is pushing B site. It is essential for:
- B rushes - throw this on the run and push out immediately behind it
- Full B executes paired with the B site/back plat smoke for a two-smoke site take
- Force-buy and eco rounds through B - this $300 smoke removes the most dangerous angle
- Default rounds where you want to pressure B with two players and need the window neutralized
- Mid-to-B splits where the tunnels team needs to push out simultaneously with the mid team
