Upper Tunnels Molotov from B Site
CT-side Dust 2 incendiary for upper tunnels from B Site. Denies T pushes through tunnels and deals heavy damage to anyone caught in the fire.

Steps
- From your defensive position at B site, move to the area behind the large double box on the left side of the site (when facing tunnels). Stand right up against the left wall so your shoulder touches it.
- Face toward B doors/upper tunnels. You need to aim through the doorway opening into the tunnel beyond it.
- Look up slightly and find the top of the tunnel arch visible through the B doors opening. Place your crosshair on the upper-left corner of the archway inside the tunnel - right where the curved ceiling meets the vertical wall.
- Perform a left-click throw while standing still. This is a straightforward standing throw that requires no jump or running.
- The incendiary grenade arcs through the B doors opening and lands inside upper tunnels, splashing fire across the tunnel floor. Any T pushing through upper tunnels takes significant damage or is forced to wait out the fire, giving you 7 seconds of delay.
Tips
- This molotov is your best early-round tool for stopping B rushes. Throw it when you hear a rush coming through tunnels - the fire covers the narrow tunnel passage and forces Ts to either wait (losing their timing) or push through and take 40-60 damage.
- The timing matters: throw this immediately after hearing footsteps in tunnels, then follow it up with a B doors smoke. The molotov forces the pause, and the smoke blocks their vision as the fire fades. Together they buy nearly 25 seconds of delay.
- If the fire lands too close to B doors (on your side instead of inside the tunnel), you were aiming too low. Raise your crosshair to the top of the tunnel arch. If it overshoots and lands deep in lower tunnels, you were aiming too high.
- After throwing, immediately reposition. Ts who survive the molotov will likely pre-fire your location since they heard the throw. Move to a different angle on the site.
- Practice offline with these commands:
sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 - In competitive play, this molotov is especially devastating against eco and force-buy rounds where Ts are running through tunnels with limited utility to extinguish it.
When to Use
This incendiary is a key defensive tool for CT-side B site holds on Dust 2. Use it for:
- Stopping B rushes when you hear Ts sprinting through upper tunnels - the fire forces them to stop in their tracks or take heavy damage, completely breaking their rush timing
- Combo with the B doors smoke for maximum delay - molotov first, then smoke the doors as the fire fades for nearly half a minute of B site lockdown
- Early-round information - if you throw the molotov and hear damage indicators (hit sounds), you know Ts are committing to a B push and can call for rotations
- Anti-eco defense where Ts are likely to rush with pistols or SMGs - the fire is devastating against low-armor opponents and can single-handedly stop a rush
- Solo B holds when you need to buy time for your teammate to rotate from mid or A - the molotov delays the push long enough for backup to arrive
