Long Doors Incendiary from Pit

Steps
- From your position in Pit (the recessed area at the end of A long), stand against the back wall of Pit facing toward long doors. Position yourself roughly in the center of Pit so you have a clear line of sight to the doors.
- Look toward long doors. You can see the large double doors and the corridor stretching behind them toward T spawn.
- Place your crosshair at the top of the long doors opening - aim at the upper edge of the doorframe, roughly centered horizontally between the two door edges. Your crosshair should sit right on the horizontal beam above the doors.
- Perform a simple left-click throw while standing still. This is an easy standing throw with clear reference points.
- The incendiary arcs through the air and lands right inside the long doors opening, spreading fire across the floor where Ts need to walk to push through long. Anyone caught in the fire takes heavy damage, and the passage is completely blocked for approximately 7 seconds.
Tips
- Pit is one of the strongest CT positions on A long because you sit below the sightline and can peek over the edge. Throwing this molotov from Pit means you stay safe in your position while denying the T push entirely.
- The timing for this molotov is reactive - throw it when you see or hear Ts pushing through long doors. Since the throw is simple, you can pull out your molotov, throw it, and switch back to your rifle quickly.
- If the fire lands too short (inside the long corridor on your side of the doors), your aim was too low. Raise the crosshair to the top of the doorframe. If it goes past the doors into the far side of long, you were aiming too high.
- Combine this with a teammate’s flash over long to create a deadly combo. The molotov forces Ts to stop, and the flash blinds anyone who tries to push through the fire.
- Practice offline with these commands:

When to Use
This incendiary is a strong reactive tool for any CT player anchoring the A long position. Use it for:
- Stopping long pushes when you hear Ts rushing through long doors - the fire blocks the narrow chokepoint and forces them to wait or take damage
- Punishing aggressive T-side AWPers who like to peek through long doors early in the round - the molotov forces them to back off or reposition
- Delaying for rotations when you spot a full long execute and need your teammates to come help from mid or B site
- Combo plays with long corner smoke - throw the molotov first to deal damage, then follow with a smoke to extend the delay even further
- Anti-rush rounds where Ts are likely to blitz long - the fire is a hard counter to any uncoordinated push since Ts must either wait or lose significant HP
