Tunnel Molotov from B Site
Deny the Tunnel push on Anubis with this CT jump-throw molotov from B Site. Flush out Ts and stop flanks from the underground passage.

Steps
- From B Site, walk to the back-right area of the site near the wall closest to the Tunnel entrance. Position yourself against the wall, about three steps from the corner where the Tunnel passage connects to the site.
- Look toward the Tunnel entrance ahead. You can see the narrow passage opening with stairs leading down into the underground corridor.
- Place your crosshair on the top edge of the Tunnel entrance archway, right where the stone arch meets the ceiling. Aim at the center of the arch, directly above the tunnel opening.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump throw is needed to launch the molotov over the entrance lip and down into the tunnel passage below.
- The molotov arcs up, clears the entrance, and drops into the Tunnel passage, spreading fire across the stairs and the narrow corridor. Any Ts hiding in or pushing through the tunnel take heavy damage.
Tips
- Tunnel is a sneaky flank route that Ts use to pressure B site from an unexpected angle. This molotov completely shuts down the passage and forces Ts to take the long way around.
- If the molotov hits the archway and breaks at the entrance instead of going down into the tunnel, your crosshair was too low. Raise it to the very top of the arch to clear the lip.
- The narrow tunnel confines amplify the fire’s effectiveness. There is nowhere for Ts to dodge inside the tunnel, so the molotov deals guaranteed damage to anyone caught in the passage.
- Practice offline with these commands:
sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 - Throw this reactively when you hear footsteps in the tunnel below. The echo from the tunnel gives you an audio cue 1-2 seconds before Ts can emerge, which is enough time to line up and throw.
- Combine this with the B Main smoke from B Site for layered defense. Smoke B Main, then molotov the Tunnel to deny both approaches simultaneously while waiting for rotations.
When to Use
This molotov is critical for CT-side B defense on Anubis. Throw it when:
- Denying a Tunnel flank when you hear Ts pushing through the underground passage toward your B site position
- Anchoring B solo to reduce the angles you need to watch - burning the Tunnel lets you focus entirely on B Main
- Post-plant defense when Ts have planted B and one might be holding in the Tunnel for an aggressive post-plant peek
- Retake support when your team is retaking B and you need to prevent Ts from escaping or repositioning through the Tunnel
- Early round denial as a proactive throw to discourage Ts from using the Tunnel route for the first 7 seconds of the round
