B Pillar Molotov from B Ramp

Flush CTs from B Pillar on Anubis with this T-side jump-throw molotov from B Ramp. Clear the cover position before pushing onto site.

Steps

  1. From B Ramp, walk to the left wall as you face toward B site. Position yourself about halfway up the ramp, pressing your left shoulder against the wall at the point where you can just see the B site opening above.
  2. Look up toward the site. You can see the edges of the B site structures and the roofline above. Find the corner of the roof directly above the B Pillar position on the site.
  3. Place your crosshair on the lower edge of the roof corner, right where the roof overhang meets the support wall beneath it. There is a visible shadow line at this junction.
  4. Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). The jump throw provides the arc needed to clear the ramp edge and drop the molotov precisely behind the pillar.
  5. The molotov arcs up from the ramp, clears the site edge, and lands directly at the base of B Pillar, spreading fire around the pillar and flushing out any CT using it as cover.

Tips

  • B Pillar is the strongest close-range cover position on B site. CTs who play behind it can dodge between multiple angles and are hard to kill with gunfire alone. This molotov forces them to abandon the position entirely.
  • If the molotov lands on the ramp or hits the site edge, your crosshair was too low. Raise it to the roof corner to ensure the arc carries the molotov over the edge and onto the site.
  • Throw this right before your team pushes through B Main. The molotov clears the Pillar CT, and your entry fragger only has to worry about Heaven and back-site angles.
  • Practice offline with these commands: sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60
  • Listen for damage sounds after the molotov lands. If you hear a hit, the Pillar CT is now low and retreating - call it out so your team can chase the kill.
  • Pair this with the B Heaven smoke from B Lobby for a devastating one-two punch. The smoke blocks Heaven while the molotov clears Pillar, leaving CTs with almost nowhere safe to stand on site.

When to Use

This molotov is a key execute utility for T-side B takes on Anubis. Throw it when:

  • Executing B site to clear the Pillar CT before your team pushes through B Main, eliminating the close-range threat
  • Supporting a B Main push where your entry fragger needs the Pillar angle cleared so they can focus on gunfights in other directions
  • Split B takes where the Ramp push needs to clear site positions before linking up with the B Main push
  • Post-plant denial by burning the Pillar area to prevent CTs from using it as cover during retake attempts
  • Mid-round B takes when your team reads a weakened B defense and wants to capitalize with a quick, utility-assisted push
