B Close Molotov from B Main

Steps

1. In B main, push forward toward the B site entrance and stop just before the doorway. Stand on the right side of the corridor with your right shoulder near the wall.
2. Look toward B site through the entrance and identify the close-right position where CTs commonly hold a tight angle on anyone entering the site. Find the wall corner on the right side just past the doorway.
3. Place your crosshair on the lower portion of the right wall, about halfway up the wall surface where it meets the corner. Aim at the spot where the wall bends around the close-right area.
4. Left click to throw the molotov with a standing throw. No special movement needed - the close distance makes this a simple direct throw.
5. The molotov hits the wall and splashes across the B close position, engulfing the tight angle in fire and forcing any CT playing there to fall back deeper into the site or toward CT spawn.

Tips

• The close angle on B site Anubis is extremely dangerous because the CT can hold a tight corner with a shotgun or rifle and get a free kill on the first player through the door. This molotov neutralizes that threat completely.
• This is a standing throw with a short distance, making it one of the easiest molotovs to learn on Anubis. You should nail it consistently from your first practice session.
• If the fire does not cover the close position fully, your crosshair was too high on the wall. Aim lower so the molotov bounces off the wall and splashes down onto the floor where the CT would stand.
• If the molotov bounces back toward B main, you hit the doorframe edge. Make sure your crosshair is clearly past the doorway and onto the wall inside the site.
• Follow up immediately after throwing - the molotov only lasts about 7 seconds, so push onto the site while the fire is still burning and the close position is denied.

When to Use

This molotov clears one of the most punishing positions on Anubis B site. Use it for:

• B site executes to flush the close-angle CT before your team commits through the doorway
• B rushes where the first player through the door needs that close position cleared instantly to avoid a free CT kill
• Force-buy rounds when losing the entry fragger to the close position would lose the round - a $400 molotov prevents that
• Post-plant holds to re-molly close and prevent CTs from using it as retake cover
• Default B pressure when you want to safely peek B site and gather information without risking a death to the close player
