Donut Smoke from Mid
Smoke donut on Ancient from mid to block the A site crossfire angle. Isolates the donut player so your team can push onto A site safely.

Steps
- From mid, push forward past the initial opening and position yourself near the stone wall on the left side of mid. Find the corner where the wall juts out slightly and press yourself into the indentation - your left shoulder should be firmly against the wall.
- Look up toward the A site structures. Find the large circular window (the donut) visible on the building above the A site area. The round opening is the most distinctive visual landmark on this part of the map.
- Place your crosshair on the upper-right edge of the circular opening - roughly at the 2 o’clock position on the circle’s rim. You want to be on the stone edge, not inside the hole.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key).
- The smoke arcs over the wall and drops into the donut area, blocking the CT who plays behind the round structure from having a crossfire angle onto players entering A site.
Tips
- Donut is one of the most powerful crossfire positions on A site. The CT playing there can see both mid pushes and A main pushes simultaneously. This smoke eliminates that dual angle and forces the CT to play a less advantageous position.
- This lineup requires a jump throw bind for consistency. The smoke needs precise trajectory to clear the wall and land in the right spot.
- Pair this smoke with the A main smoke for a proper A execute. A main blocks the long sightline while donut removes the crossfire - together they cut A site down to much more manageable angles.
- If the smoke lands below the donut area (on the ground floor instead of the elevated area), your crosshair was too low. If it sails over the building, you were aimed too high.
- Make sure mid is smoked or clear before lining this up. You are standing in the open in mid while aiming, which makes you vulnerable to a CT peeking from the mid connector.

When to Use
Use this smoke when executing onto A site:
- Full A executes - combine with the A main smoke and flashes to push through with minimal angles to clear
- Mid-to-A splits where part of your team pushes through A main and another group comes from mid - the donut smoke covers the crossfire for both entry points
- Post-plant denial - if you plant on A and the CT retakes through donut, re-smoking it buys valuable time
- Late-round A hits where you need a fast site take and cannot afford to duel the donut player
