CT A Smoke from A Main
Land a consistent Ancient CT A smoke from A Main. Blocks CT defenders so your team can push onto A site safely during executes.

Steps
- From A Main, walk forward until you reach the stone archway on the left side. Press yourself into the left corner where the archway meets the wall, so both your left shoulder and back are touching the stone.
- Look up and to the right toward the sky. Find the tall stone pillar that rises above the archway on the far side of the corridor.
- Place your crosshair on the top-right edge of the pillar cap - right where the decorative stone lip meets the sky on the right side.
- Use your jump throw bind (hold left click, then press your jump throw key). Do not attempt to manually time the jump and release - a bind is required for this lineup.
- The smoke arcs over the structures and lands at the CT A entrance, creating a wall of smoke that blocks CT defenders from holding angles into A site from the CT side.
Tips
- This is one of the most important T-side smokes on Ancient. It cuts off the primary rotation path that CTs use to reinforce A site, giving your team a significant advantage during executes.
- Pair this with the Temple smoke from Elbow to fully isolate A site. Without both smokes, CTs can still peek from multiple angles during your push.
- If the smoke lands too far to the right (closer to the pillar rather than the doorway), your crosshair was too far right on the pillar cap. Move your aim slightly left.
- If the smoke falls short and lands inside A Main instead of reaching CT A, make sure you are pressed fully into the corner - being even slightly off the wall changes the trajectory.

When to Use
This smoke is essential for any organized A site take on Ancient. Use it for:
- Full A executes where your team pushes through A Main and Elbow simultaneously to overwhelm site defenders
- A Main rushes in eco or force-buy rounds where you need to neutralize the CT A angle before committing
- Mid-round A hits after gaining map control, where smoking CT A prevents rotators from flanking your entry fraggers
- Post-plant setups where re-smoking CT A forces retaking CTs to push through the smoke blind or rotate the long way around
- Late-round clutch situations where isolating CT A gives you a one-on-one angle onto the remaining site defender
