Steps
- From B site, move to the default plant box and stand behind it on the left side, facing toward B Main. Your left shoulder should be touching the edge of the box.
- Look toward the B Main entrance. Find the stone doorframe that marks the transition from B Main into the site area.
- Place your crosshair on the top-center of the doorframe - right at the keystone position where the arch meets at its highest point.
- Perform a standing left-click throw - no jump or run-up needed. Simply aim and release.
- The molotov flies forward and shatters at the B Main entrance, spreading fire across the doorway and the corridor just behind it. Any T pushing through B Main must either wait for the fire to die or take heavy damage.
Tips
- This is your go-to early-round molotov as the B site anchor. Throw it the moment you hear footsteps or utility coming from B Main to buy yourself 7 seconds of safety.
- The fire spreads wide enough to cover the entire B Main doorway, making it impossible for Ts to enter the site without being hit.
- If the fire lands too far inside B Main (not visible from site), your crosshair was too high. Lower your aim slightly below the top of the doorframe.
- Combine this with the B Ramp smoke to shut down both B entry points simultaneously. This buys your team enough time for a full rotation to B.

Ts often rush in the moment the fire dies, so have your crosshair pre-aimed at the doorway.
When to Use
This molotov is essential for B site defense on Ancient. Use it for:
- Early-round defense to delay B Main pushes and prevent fast executes before your team is set up
- Buying time for rotations when you hear a B execute and need your A or mid players to rotate toward B
- Denying B Main control during default rounds to prevent Ts from establishing an advanced position for free
- Retake support where you molotov B Main to prevent additional Ts from entering the site while your team retakes from CT B
- Force-buy denial when your team suspects a T rush through B Main and you want to punish the aggression with fire damage
