B Back HE Grenade from B Ramp

CS2 Ancient B Back HE from B Ramp. Deals damage to CTs playing B Back before your team pushes onto B site during executes.

Steps

  1. From B Ramp, walk up toward the site entrance and stop at the left wall. Find the spot where the wall texture changes from rough stone to smoother concrete, and stand with your left shoulder touching the transition line between the two textures.
  2. Look toward B site and above the entry point. Find the rooftop ledge of the building that sits behind the B Back position in the distance.
  3. Place your crosshair on the lower-left edge of the rooftop ledge - right where the ledge begins its horizontal line on the left side.
  4. Perform a standing left-click throw - no jump or movement required. Aim carefully and release the HE grenade.
  5. The grenade arcs over the site entrance and bounces into B Back, detonating behind the cover positions where CTs typically anchor during B site defense. This deals up to 60-80 HP damage depending on the CT’s exact position.

Tips

  • B Back is one of the most common CT defensive positions on B site because it offers strong cover and good angles on both B Ramp and B Main. Softening this player with an HE before pushing significantly improves your chances of winning the initial fight.
  • Throw this HE about 2 seconds before your team commits to the B site push. The detonation will either damage the CT or force them to reposition, both of which benefit your entry.
  • If the grenade lands too far forward (on the site floor rather than at B Back), your crosshair was too low. Raise your aim slightly higher on the rooftop ledge.
  • If the grenade overshoots B Back entirely, lower your crosshair - the throw arc was too high.
  • Practice this lineup offline with sv_cheats 1; sv_infinite_ammo 1; sv_grenade_trajectory 1; sv_grenade_trajectory_time 10; mp_roundtime_defuse 60 to verify the grenade reaches B Back consistently.
  • Stack this with a teammate’s HE for devastating combined damage. If two HEs land at B Back, the CT player will be at 20 HP or less before the fight even begins.

When to Use

This HE grenade softens B Back defenders before T-side B executes on Ancient. Use it for:

  • B execute preparation where you want to damage the B Back anchor before your team pushes from B Ramp and B Main
  • Default round aggression where you HE B Back and then wide-peek from B Ramp to catch the damaged CT off guard
  • Force-buy rounds where maximizing damage with utility compensates for your team’s weaker weapons
  • Anti-AWP plays where the B Back player has an AWP and the HE forces them to reposition, taking them off their angle
  • B site splits where softening B Back before your B Main players enter ensures the first fight is winnable
